My Mission — Grow Where You Are
My artistic practice is rooted in the belief that growth is possible at any stage of life and in any environment.
"Grow where you are" is not only a guiding principle in my work, but also a way of looking at the world: even in constrained, artificial, or highly structured settings, nature teaches us resilience, adaptability, and renewal.
Through my art, I aim to inspire individuals and organizations to create spaces that encourage reflection, creativity, and sustainable growth.
My story - Love for Nature
My connection to the natural world began in early childhood, sparked by a moment of unexpected wonder. When my grandparents bought a house with a large garden from a former gardener, we were unaware of what lay beneath the lawn.
In spring, the entire garden suddenly transformed into a vast sea of tulips. This magical experience left a deep impression on me and awakened a lifelong fascination with plants. At the age of seven, I began collecting plants and creating herbariums—an imperfect but formative practice that shaped my curiosity and sensitivity toward nature.
Over the years, this personal journey has evolved into a deeper understanding: nature is our most valuable asset, and we are inherently part of it. We have an endless capacity to learn from its systems, intelligence, and balance.
Recent work - Botanical Theme
My recent work focuses on the relationship between nature and the built environment. I travel to botanical gardens across different cities and countries, painting the dialogue between architecture and living systems.
These gardens reflect a distinctly human paradox: we often destroy natural ecosystems, only to later attempt to preserve fragments of them in carefully curated oases of biodiversity. This tension between control and care, loss and preservation plays a central role in my work.
Inspiring People and Organisations
Alongside my artistic practice, I bring extensive material and technical expertise. Since 2019, I have been working at Royal Talens as a Technical Advisor in the R&D department. In this role, I participate in the development of professional artist paints and share my knowledge through trainings for artists, institutions, and clients worldwide. This combination of artistic research and material innovation allows me to create work that is both conceptually grounded and technically refined.
Through my art, I seek to support people and organizations in creating environments where creativity, wellbeing, and growth can flourish—wherever they are.
